Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager

As a Senior IT Project Manager at 09 Irving Oil Limited, you will be responsible for leading the solution investigation and determination, project planning, effective delivery of planned outcomes within time and budget, and all associated stakeholder relationships.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage several complex projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with Business, IT, and 3rd party stakeholders to confirm problems, expected outcomes, and project deliverables.
  • Identify and confirm project approach and engage resources to develop effective plans using Irving Oil IT's project delivery framework, documents, and tools.
  • Provide innovation and transformational leadership during solution identification.
  • Ensure plans align with IT and Irving Oil policies, standards, and vendor contracts.
  • Negotiate and influence staff assignments and procurement timelines.
  • Assign deliverables, tasks, and activities, and monitor resources, schedules, and plans.
  • Anticipate and deal with issues throughout the initiative's life cycle.
  • Effectively communicate within and across teams and with stakeholders.
Your Skills:
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines, and meeting hard deadlines.
Your Experience:
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in Information Technology.
  • 10+ years of IT project management work experience.
  • Strong leadership, communications, facilitation, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with 3rd party providers and in cross-functional/matrixed team environments.
  • Experience utilizing corporate and 3rd party project management processes and software.
  • PMP designation required.
