About the Role

The Zonal Software Platform team at Ford Motor Company is a dynamic group dedicated to creating innovative software solutions for our next-generation vehicle systems. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge software components that integrate with our existing architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software components using established design patterns and software engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Work on cloud-based computing, ad-hoc computing, and embedded platforms to enhance our software capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain software components using C code and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulations, including ISO26262.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6+ years of engineering work experience, with 5+ years of experience writing C code.
  • 3+ years of experience in Matlab/Simulink and algorithm design for embedded hardware and/or software design.
  • 2+ years of vehicle network (CAN/LIN/Automotive Ethernet) experience.
Preferred Requirements
  • Understanding of embedded hardware and software design.
  • Familiarity with Vector and Intrepid tools, AutoSAR Classic, and Functional Safety.
