Job Description

The Canadian Software Testing Board is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the Software team, you will be responsible for developing and testing firmware and software for rugged single board computers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Porting existing BSP (board support package) for VxWorks 6.9 and 7 to new boards
  • Creating new build targets, modifying drivers, and testing
  • Collaborating with the Software Lead to oversee project activities and manage priorities and schedules

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of embedded development experience
  • Strong knowledge of embedded C and device driver development
  • Experience with VxWorks 6.9 and 7
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Possible flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays
  • Collaborative team environment with 16 engineers on-site in Ottawa
