Job Title: Embedded Software Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Software Engineering Manager to join our team at QNX Software Systems. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the development of cutting-edge embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 8-12 software engineers in the development of embedded systems
  • Develop and implement software development processes and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Identify and prioritize technical projects and initiatives
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards, such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and leadership roles
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded systems development using C and assembly language
  • 3+ years of experience in technical leadership and people management
  • Proficient in embedded operating systems, such as QNX, Linux, and GreenHills
  • Experience targeting embedded systems on major processor architectures, such as ARM, x86, and PPC
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
