Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at AYR Motor Express Inc. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various locations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods and materials, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel cross-border, nationally, and internationally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and handle heavy loads.
