Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our multidisciplinary team at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients during the intraoperative phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor clinical services in the Operating Room, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Act as a clinical resource for daily operations, coordinating therapy assessment and treatment in your service area.
  • Develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans, monitoring patient progress and identifying new equipment requirements.
  • Establish and maintain adequate levels of supplies and materials for your area, ensuring optimal respiratory equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Participate in interprofessional patient rounds, conferences, and meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
  • Graduate of a recognized school of Respiratory Therapy accredited by the Council on Accreditation, for Respiratory Therapy Education.
