Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our multidisciplinary team at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the intraoperative phase, working closely with anesthesia and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, monitor, and assess clinical services in the Operating Room
  • Act as a clinical resource for daily operations, coordinating therapy assessment and treatment
  • Develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor patient progress
  • Identify new equipment requirements and establish adequate supply levels
  • Operate, procure, maintain, and ensure quality assurance of respiratory equipment
  • Participate in interprofessional patient rounds, conferences, and meetings
Requirements
  • Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA)
  • Graduate of a recognized school of Respiratory Therapy accredited by the Council on Accreditation, for Respiratory Therapy Education
  • Operating Room experience
