Job Title: Assistant Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Cook to join our team at Ontario Limited. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and recruit and hire staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
