Your Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious Civil Engineer in Training to join our multi-disciplinary team in Regina, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our project team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of land development projects in the region. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to learn and expand your engineering skills while making a meaningful difference in the community.

About the Role

This entry-level position involves working as part of a dynamic team to support the design and construction of greenfield and brownfield land development projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing drawings and figures using AutoCAD Civil 3D software to support project teams;
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary teams supporting the design process for complex land development projects;
  • Preparing designs for site grading, site servicing, water distribution, sanitary sewers, stormwater management, shallow utilities, and erosion control;
  • Supporting the preparation of construction drawings and technical reports;
  • Liaising with municipalities and approving authorities to advocate for client objectives;
  • Building relationships with clients, consultants, and municipal/provincial approving authorities;
  • Participating in quality assurance and quality control reviews for various deliverables;
  • Gaining hands-on experience observing active construction projects and liaising with contractors, surveyors, and municipal inspectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A basic understanding of civil engineering principles, including site grading, sanitary and storm sewer servicing, water servicing, shallow utility coordination, roadway design, and stormwater engineering concepts;
  • The ability to work effectively as a team player and engage in constructive collaboration;
  • A solution-oriented approach to problem-solving;
  • An emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • The willingness to learn additional skills in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, PCSWMM, and Bluebeam Revu;
  • A valid Class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license and access to a vehicle.
