Job Title: Senior Civil Technologist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our civil engineering team, you will be responsible for executing technical procedures, safe work practices, and work plans in a safe and efficient manner.
Main Responsibilities:
- Consistently execute prescribed technical procedures, safe work practices, and work plans in a safe and efficient manner following all applicable regulatory requirements and contract specifications.
- Generate deliverable documentation, including technical reports, site reviews, and letters, summaries, data sheets, graphs, and qualification packages.
- Interact with contractors and subcontractors regularly, including presenting and discussing outcomes with project teams.
- Assist engineers and project managers with project execution during all project phases.
- Perform site reviews, gather data, and prepare reports under the direction of the project manager related to structural, building envelope, and roofing components.
- Aid in generating deliverable documentation (i.e., drawings and specifications) for structural, building envelope, and roofing projects, which requires accuracy in calculations, information, and/or completeness of data.
- Provide design sketches and coordinate work with other engineering departments during the design development stage.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- 0 – 5 years' experience in civil engineering or a related field.
- Registration with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPSK) or eligibility for registration.
- A solid background or interest in Water Resource, Municipal, and/or Transportation sectors.
- Experience with Civil3D and AutoCAD is considered an asset.
- Survey experience is also considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Aptitude for general construction methods.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in the field for extended periods of time.
- Consideration will be given to suitable intermediate-level candidates with 5–10 years' experience.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
