About the Role

Aecon Concessions is seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, and support of Aecon's system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity, as well as support business strategies and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, recommend, and implement capacity, growth, and architectural changes for Aecon's software, network, database, and application landscape.
  • Participate in some aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Lead technical efforts to improve, design, build, and deploy AWS applications, including small, medium, and large-scale cloud infrastructure projects, while adhering to company's security and compliance standards.
  • Review test plans and monitor the testing process to ensure that business results are adequately tested with minimal risk.
  • May develop system test cases and validate test results during testing.
  • Analyze testing results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and application of new and emerging cloud tools and techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant technical and work experience.
  • Requires excellent analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of business operations, systems requirements and configuration, and IT processes and technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), IaC tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc).
  • Proficiency in programming languages and scripting tools.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with Windows Server/Linux.
  • Understanding of data storage and database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL.
  • Solid understanding of the ITIL framework and best practices.
