Aecon Group is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Aecon's cloud infrastructure to support business growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, recommend, and implement capacity, growth, and architectural changes for Aecon's software, network, database, and application landscape.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
- Lead technical efforts to improve, design, build, and deploy AWS applications, including small, medium, and large-scale cloud infrastructure projects, while adhering to company security and compliance standards.
- Review test plans and monitor testing processes to ensure that business results are adequately tested with minimal risk.
- Develop system test cases and validate test results during testing.
- Analyze testing results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business.
- Participate in the evaluation, selection, and application of new and emerging cloud tools and techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant technical and work experience.
- Excellent analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of business operations, systems requirements, and configuration, and IT processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Proficiency in programming languages and scripting tools.
- Strong knowledge and experience working with Windows Server/Linux.
- Understanding of data storage and database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL.
- Solid understanding of the ITIL framework and best practices.
