Senior Mechanical Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team at CO_3200 Canem Systems Ltd.

About the Role

The Senior Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for the preparation of detailed estimates for commercial, institutional, and residential projects. This includes establishing and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, and contractors in the industry; advising clients about new and effective products and services; and actively seeking out new opportunities, projects, and clients and estimating and obtaining new projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing mechanical budgets based on preliminary sketches, specifications, and other related information;
  • Preparing accurate cost estimates of resources required for tendered projects;
  • Coordinating and preparing for pre-tender site tours;
  • Analyzing possible cost savings for projects as requested by project managers;
  • Maintaining and updating databases for estimating, change order, and service in relevant computer programs;
  • Providing training and assistance for new and existing staff in estimating and change orders procedures and for estimating, change order, and related software;
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience as a Mechanical Estimator;
  • 10+ years' hands-on experience with Mechanical construction projects;
  • Previous experience as a Senior Estimator;
  • Experience in estimating a full range of project delivery methods (Bid and Tender, IPD, Design build) of ICI construction project up to $100+ million in Mechanical;
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or other equivalent construction program or certification in one of the mechanical trades;
  • Eligible for or have attained PQS, CET, or P.Eng designation or have obtained a mechanical trade designation;

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum based on location and experience.
