Job SummaryThis is a senior-level position responsible for leading mechanical design efforts for consumer electronics products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field, with expertise in Solidworks and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Leverage technical expertise to define product designs that meet performance, quality, and user experience requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to ensure seamless product development.
- Develop and maintain high-quality product designs that are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and thermal performance.
- Qualify vendors and manage vendor relationships through the part RFQ process.
- Validate engineering samples and work with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure smooth implementation of designs in production.
- Participate in project management activities, including writing requirements documents, parts validation protocols, and task estimations.
- Graduate degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
- Expertise in Solidworks, including advanced features such as cable routing, wire harness design, static analysis, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience designing consumer electronics and power electronics products.
- Familiarity with DFMA principles and thermal/heat transfer analysis.
- Strong understanding of material properties, fabrication techniques, and supplier management.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
