Railway Track Maintenance Assistant

At REDSEADER, we are seeking a reliable and physically fit Railway Track Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the safe operation of our railway tracks.
As a Railway Track Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting railway track maintenance workers in various tasks such as laying, maintaining, and repairing railway tracks. You will also transport tools and equipment on push or hand cars, cut vegetation growth from railway tracks using scythes and mowers, check freight cars for physical damage and cleanliness, shovel snow from railway switch boxes, assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles, perform laboring duties in warehouses, and provide customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and possess basic security clearance. They will also have excellent communication skills, be able to lift heavy loads up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs), and work well in a team environment.
