Salad Bar Department Head

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salad Bar Department Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the Salad Bar department to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales growth, and maintain a high level of store appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Salad Bar team to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of merchandise to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the Produce Manager to minimize shrink and maximize reprocessing within the Produce department.
- Recruit, train, and develop Salad Bar staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and union contracts.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as required to support the success of the Salad Bar department.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in the retail Produce industry, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma.
