Site Operations Manager

This position serves as a key leader in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of a high-quality standard of operation at our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in the definition of goals, strategies, and overall direction, coordination, and delivery of all services for the facility.
The Site Lead will be expected to motivate and lead their team in an efficient, competent, responsible, and professional manner. This includes ensuring the implementation of training programs and adherence to all applicable statutory, regulatory, and safety codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care to our residents.
- Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and organization of the facility in support of the vision, mission, and values of Health Association Nova Scotia.
- Responsible for reporting to the accountabilities set forth by Central Office and the Governance Body as the head of the on-site management structure.
- Responsible for the successful integration and adherence to the approved organizational structure and maintain an effective administrative model in accordance with the operational requirements of the facility.
- Provide strategic leadership and demonstrates excellent delegation abilities to navigate the workforce to provide the highest quality of care and support to the residents.
- Operate the facility according to applicable Federal, Provincial, and Municipal guidelines and regulations.
- Responsible for making key decisions and establishing and contributing to the achievements and goals of the health and wellness of the facility and the employees.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development, teamwork, and coordinating staffing and clinical work as identified by the Administrator or other key stakeholders within the organization.
- Collaborate with all support positions and direct care providers to ensure that clients receive quality care in a safe, competent, and ethical manner.
- Coordinate the facility's professional and contractual relationship with all of its principles, including the Department of Health, the Department of Veteran's Affairs, and the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation.
- Navigate the workforce, in consultation with the Director of Human Resources, to initiate workplace investigations, required disciplinary action, adherence to employment contracts, collective agreements, or service agreements for the facility.
- Oversee the overall performance management program for the facility and accountability of their direct reports in completion of annual performance review requirements as outlined by the organization.
- Follow up and accountability of all licensing, accreditation, or internal follow-up activities requiring completion at the facility.
- Oversee overall site responsibilities, including financial, staffing, resident care, ethics, and daily operational requirements.
- Monitor and support the Return to Work Program for the facility in liaison with the Director of Corporate Services & Human Resources.
