Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager (CL7) to join our team at the Cumberland Campus. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of the campus to a high standard of health, safety, cleanliness, appearance, physical security, and energy efficiency.
You will provide cost-effective and timely facility management and maintenance services that promote our commitment to the care and preservation of the campus facilities, a safe working environment, and effective risk management.
In this role, you will report to the Campus Principal with functional accountability to the Director of Facilities and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the buildings and grounds of the campus to a high standard of health, safety, cleanliness, appearance, physical security, and energy efficiency.
- Provide cost-effective and timely facility management and maintenance services.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and Engineering to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Supervise and manage a team of facilities staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Facilities Management or Building Sciences.
- 7-10 years of recent occupational experience in a facilities management role, including construction and maintenance services, building operations, and facility administration.
- Experience supervising, managing, and leading a team.
- Construction safety Supervisor certification or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of administrative, budgeting, financial, procurement, and personnel management practices and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a team and a strong track record for professional development.
