About the Role

FreshCo DBA 2748487 Ontario Inc. is seeking a skilled Grocery Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our grocery clerks and shelf stockers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of 3-4 grocery clerks and shelf stockers
    • Establish work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Customer Service and Issue Resolution
    • Resolve customer complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner
    • Address supply shortages and other operational issues
  • Inventory Management
    • Compile inventory reports and analyze sales data to inform ordering decisions
    • Order stock and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and excess
  • Training and Development
    • Train and mentor new employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Basic computer skills, including MS Outlook
