We are amid a momentous time for health care in Ontario as we move to a more connected healthcare system through the Ontario Health Teams model of care. This position provides strategic HR leadership, expertise, and consultation to front-line managers in addressing all matters related to people. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and counsel on a broad variety of HR issues, including employee/labour relations, recruitment, attendance management, performance management, and organizational development.

The salary range for this position is approximately $85,000-$110,000 per year, based on location and experience. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date. Membership in a world-class defined benefit pension plan is also included.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing HR expertise and knowledge to front-line managers
  • Liaising with line managers and employees on a day-to-day basis
  • Supporting employee/labour relations, including internal dispute resolution and policy/procedure interpretation
  • Assisting with the recruitment function, including requisition processing, job postings, applicant tracking, interviews, employment offers, and onboarding
  • Coaching managers in effective employee performance management and alignment

The ideal candidate will have a University Degree in Human Resources Management or a recognized equivalent, minimum two (2) years' experience in a generalist Human Resources capacity, and significant experience in HR in a unionized environment. Fluency in French or another second language would be an asset.
