Job Description



The Sales Director, Global Components will be responsible for the revenue success, operational oversight, and financial management of our Toronto branch.



This role involves managing a team of eight field sales professionals and interacting regularly with Arrow customers and suppliers within the designated geographic market.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Drive strategy and deliver results: Make recommendations to senior leadership on strategy and customer plans using data analysis and past experience.
  • Manage Team: Recruit, hire, and mentor sales staff. Manage employee performance and ensure the team has the resources to deliver sales plans.
  • Develop customer, supplier, and vendor relationships: Enhance manager relationships with key contacts by providing superior service and operation excellence.
  • Leadership: Act as a leader in the branch, instilling vision and creating enthusiasm to achieve goals.
  • Serve as a liaison from branch to corporate stakeholders including finance, marketing, asset management, and supply chain.


Requirements:



To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A minimum of 10 years of proven sales and sales leadership experience with a 3-year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working for an electrical component distributor, manufacturers rep for components, or component manufacturer, required.
  • Strong business acumen and budgetary management experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills in English.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM and solid competencies in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), ideally experience with Oracle.
  • Ability to travel 25% of time.

Compensation:



The estimated salary range for this role is $158,500.00 - $265,838.67 per year, based on location and level of experience.
