Commercial Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Claims Specialist to join our team at GGB - Global. As a key member of our claims division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional claims service and advocacy to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Intake and reporting of new claims to insurance companies
- Providing claims counselling to insureds in a professional and compassionate manner
- Advocating on claims as needed on behalf of clients with insurers
- Data input using the EPIC Broker Management System
- Maintaining, coordinating, and updating client documents
- Leading claim analysis meetings with commercial clients and/or Client Solutions Team
- Collaborating with Loss Control Adjusters to establish or modify existing programs
- Liaising between insured and insurance carrier during settlement negotiations
- Documenting and acting on incoming communication in a timely fashion
- Attending client meetings within the GTA as requested by management
- Mentoring new team members and facilitating onboarding within the claims department
- Claims adjusting experience or commercial broker including claims advocacy
- RIBO, CAIB, CIP designations an asset or courses completed towards designations
- Prior commercial insurance and/or claims experience required
- Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with EPIC and/or an electronic filing system an asset
