Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services (LLRIBHS) promotes dental health services and education to all community members. We work closely with schools and other health organizations to address acute needs and determinants of health.

Job Description

We are seeking self-motivated Dental Assistants with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to support our Dental Therapy Program. As a key member of our team, you will assist in delivering dental services and promoting oral health education to children enrolled in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Dental Therapy Program.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide fluoride treatments to clients;
  • Instruct patients on oral hygiene practices;
  • Book and confirm appointments;
  • Maintain accurate client records;
  • Ensure infection control and sterilization procedures;
  • Perform general office duties;
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Certification in dental assisting and registration with the Saskatchewan Dental Assistants' Association;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask;
  • Effective communication and public relation skills;
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and ability to travel when required;
  • Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
  • Ability to speak Cree is a definite asset;
About the Position

Working within the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Schools, you will prepare and assist the Dental Therapist/Dentist during dental procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the oral health of our community.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
