About the Role

Sun Life Financial is seeking a Director, Disability Pricing and Profitability Management to join our Group Benefits Finance team. This role will report to the AVP, Pricing and Profitability Management, Group Benefits and will be responsible for the financial management of the GB Disability business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Own the Generalized Pricing Framework: Develop and maintain the pricing framework used by Underwriting to price Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability business.
  2. Monitor Disability Performance: Analyze and explain monthly and quarterly results, and support GB's planning process.
  3. Support Business Decisions: Identify opportunities to enhance business practices that could improve financial results, assess financial implications and risk of proposed government legislation, and provide actionable insights.
  4. Lead Projects and Manage Priorities: Lead projects and manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Improve Analyses, Processes, and Reporting: Develop a keen interest in improving analyses, processes, and reporting, and contribute to the development of new ideas and solutions.
