We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team at Chef's Cafe Ltd. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that requires exceptional leadership and cooking skills.

Job Description:

As our Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinating special events and banquets
  • Determining food portion sizes and costs
  • Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies
  • Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspecting kitchens and food service areas
  • Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Ordering supplies and equipment
  • Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Cleaning kitchen and work areas
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., culinary arts)
  • 1-6 months of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
