Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Langley, B.C. as a Community Respiratory Therapist. This is a casual opportunity to work with a dynamic team providing community-based respiratory services to patients with respiratory dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic testing, disease management education, and respiratory intervention to adult, pediatric, and infant patients with respiratory dysfunction.
- Formulate and document patient care plans based on assessments and diagnostic test results.
- Provide education, support, and counseling to patients and groups regarding respiratory disease management.
- Assess patients for appropriate home oxygen/respiratory therapy and respiratory equipment.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide information and access to alternative therapy and resources.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and community respiratory meetings.
- Perform equipment quality control and maintenance, and establish and monitor inventory quotas for respiratory supplies.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain documentation according to established departmental standards.
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) credentialing exam.
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
- Two years' recent related experience in respiratory home care, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid BC driver's license and access to personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
