Job Title: Bookkeeper
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Christie/Cummings. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Fast-paced environment
- Tight deadlines
- Work under pressure
