Baker Tilly is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Collingwood, Ontario. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of our clients, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial data entry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients using QuickBooks Online and other bookkeeping software
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports as required by clients
- Assist with payroll runs, remittances, and sales tax reports
- Provide exceptional client service and answer questions related to bookkeeping
- Collaborate with management to onboard new clients and integrate them into our systems and workflow
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role
- Proven technical skills in maintaining monthly bookkeeping
- Ability to adopt new technology relevant to the bookkeeping space
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50, Xero, and MS Office
- Highly analytical and accurate with attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a high-volume work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- Passion for client service and willingness to continually expand professional skill set
