Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Christie/Cummings. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 37.5 hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
