Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Custodian. As a key member of our frontline, you will work closely with our staff to ensure that all areas of the university are clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will be responsible for performing a variety of custodial tasks, including gathering waste, straightening up surfaces, and tidying spaces. You will also be required to operate a variety of ergonomic cleaning tools and equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and brooms.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of a Grade 10 education, preferably combined with one year of custodial experience from a major institutional sector. You will also need to be physically able to perform the diverse range of motions required for a wide variety of cleaning functions. You may be required to use hazardous workplace materials, including environmentally safe and chemical cleaning products, and may be exposed to biohazardous materials, including bodily fluids and other hazardous substances. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be required to work all custodial shifts, including weekends, afternoons, and nights, as required.

Estimated Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $27.45 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional development.
