Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Kimberly-Clark. This role will be responsible for leading the Technical Rescue Team and spearheading our commitment to Better Care for a Better World.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing strategies and objectives specific to occupational safety, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective execution.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance, including familiarity with local, national, and global regulations, as well as company occupational safety standards.
  • Conducting risk assessments and compliance evaluations related to occupational safety regulations, providing accurate insights and recommendations for mitigation.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence, addressing mindset, behavior, and capabilities that impact performance within the organization's occupational safety Maturity Model.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in occupational safety, providing advice on innovative practices and recommending advancements and improvements.
  • Supporting a positive safety culture, assisting leaders on mindsets and behaviors that prioritize safety, and demonstrating and exemplifying our safety culture by role modeling appropriate behaviors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or college degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a safety specialist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Specialized expertise in relevant topics such as Occupational Safety, Fire and Explosion, Technical Rescue, or Industrial Hygiene.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to organize and lead by influence, foster a proactive team environment, and initiate and manage projects in a team setting.
