We are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team at York Region District School Board. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psycho-educational assessments for students referred through the school-based team process
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents, and community agencies to develop and implement interventions to enhance learning and interpersonal relationships
- Consult with school and district staff to gather data, design instructional strategies, and implement behavioral interventions
- Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication
- Participate in meetings and provide professional development opportunities for educators and support staff
- Doctorate or Master's degree in educational psychology or a related field
- Current membership with the BC Association of School Psychologists or the College of Psychologists of BC
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
