School Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of current assessment methods and best practices in academic intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psycho-educational assessments for students from K-12
- Provide consultation services to teachers and parents regarding students with various issues, including learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and cognitive impairments
- Assist in the identification of students in special education categories through the 1701 process
- Provide guidance to resource teachers on the use of Level B assessment tools
- Conduct assessments for the purpose of adjudication for Provincial examinations
- Master's degree in School Psychology or equivalent
- Eligibility for membership in the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch (an asset)
- Eligibility for membership in the BC Association of School Psychologists
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to complete psycho-educational assessments
- Excellent knowledge of assessment methods for evaluating cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning
- Ability to collaborate with district and school staff to plan intervention programs
- Knowledge of audit compliance criteria for special education categories
- Excellent communication skills
Salary as per the Teachers' Collective Agreement, with a current range of $57,984.00 to $107,490.00 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package and a Position of Special Responsibility stipend.
