Job Title: District School Psychologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District School Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and social development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12
  • Provide consultation services to teachers and parents on a wide range of student issues, including learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and cognitive impairments
  • Assist in the identification of students in special education categories through the 1701 process
  • Collaborate with resource teachers to develop and implement effective intervention programs
  • Conduct assessments for the purpose of adjudication for Provincial examinations

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in School Psychology or equivalent
  • Eligibility for membership in the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch (an asset)
  • Eligibility for membership in the BC Association of School Psychologists
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to complete psycho-educational assessments
  • Excellent knowledge of assessment methods for evaluating cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $57,984.00 to $107,490.00 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package and a Position of Special Responsibility stipend.
