Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team at OSP Microcheck. As a Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our LifeCheck microbial testing product line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct microbial testing as requested by clients, including ATP testing, biocide efficacy testing, and microbial DNA extraction.
  • Record and interpret data, and prepare client-facing technical reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist clients and internal sales with technical questions, and maintain and aid in the development of standard operating procedures and lab practices.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of OSP Microcheck's intellectual property, technology, and service offerings.
Requirements
  • Diploma, undergraduate, or graduate degree in a life sciences-related field, with a strong preference for candidates with training in microbiology.
  • Experience in molecular microbiological test methods, including nucleic acid extraction and PCR.
  • Proficiency in lab testing, including aseptic techniques, and experience with oilfield chemistry and its applications.
  • Strong competence in technical writing, and WHMIS, TDG, and H2S Alive training is an asset.
