Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Complex Medical Detox team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs compromised by detoxification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to meet their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical acute care, with preference given to those with experience working with Addiction & Mental Health populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with intravenous infusions, direct IV medication administration, phlebotomy, and critical care knowledge.
