We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Complex Medical Detox team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs compromised by detoxification.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to meet their individual needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical acute care, with preference given to those with experience working with Addiction & Mental Health populations.
- Experience working with intravenous infusions, direct IV medication administration, phlebotomy, and critical care knowledge.
