Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the RAH Unit 35/36. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care services to children and youth in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

Description:

As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessment, identifying nursing priorities, and collaborating with the team to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also provide hands-on care to patients in unpredictable and urgent situations, requiring strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health assessment and care to children and youth in an inpatient psychiatric setting
  • Identify nursing priorities and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide hands-on care to patients in unpredictable and urgent situations
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Experience working with children and families required
  • Minimum 1-year inpatient psychiatry experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Connect Care experience preferred
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
