Job Description

Adecco Canada is seeking a visionary Data & IT Enterprise Architect to shape and drive the strategic direction, design, and implementation of our client's enterprise data and technology landscape in Calgary, AB.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time contract position with a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will collaborate with leaders across IT, data management, and business units to develop a cohesive architecture that supports the organization's goals. This includes:

Strategic Planning and Leadership
  • Advising on corporate computer systems and emerging Data & IT solutions, recommending technologies aligned with client objectives.
  • Assessing feasibility and impact on current systems; proposing solutions and resource needs.
  • Participating in strategic planning, facilitating collaboration across departments and service delivery agencies.
Delivery and Governance
  • Defining and overseeing enterprise Data & IT standards, guiding infrastructure and software integration.
  • Reviewing project documentation for compliance with Data & IT principles, reporting to the Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Leading governance and providing interpretation of Data & IT policies, risk assessments, and cost considerations.
Data and Information Architecture
  • Developing data management standards to ensure quality and integrity across the enterprise.
  • Supporting integration architectures, covering application, data, and event-based methods.
  • Aligning projects with corporate data architecture, supporting platforms like Data Warehouses and GIS.
  • Mapping business requirements to data models, ensuring compatibility with the corporate vision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL) are an asset.
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years as an Enterprise Architect in a large organization.
  • Experience in oil and gas industry preferred, with exposure to infrastructure and shared services portfolios.
  • Proven technical expertise in architecture disciplines and experience with architecture modeling tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication across teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
