Job Summary:

SEA MAR Community Health Centers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant Apprentice to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, exams, and procedures
  • Collect and record patient data, vital signs, and medical histories
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and other treatments as directed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to confidentiality and privacy guidelines
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction and comfort

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems
