Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse IC to join our team at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. As a Registered Nurse IC, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Completion of the Combined Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department Education Program offered through Western Health, or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a challenge exam for those applicants who have completed an education program outside Western Health
  • A willingness to complete and maintain active certification in ACLS, CTAS, PALS, and TNCC within two years of appointment
