We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Completion of the Combined Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department Education Program offered through Western Health, or equivalent
- Successful completion of a challenge exam for those applicants who have completed an education program outside Western Health
- A willingness to complete and maintain active certification in ACLS, CTAS, PALS, and TNCC within two years of appointment
- A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
- A competitive salary scale of $42.63 to $52.69 per hour
