Western Health seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join its Intensive Care Unit team at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and treat patients
  • Develop and implement education programs for patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Current Nurse Practitioner License
  • Master of Nursing- Nurse Practitioner degree from an approved/recognized post-secondary nursing education program
  • Minimum of five years of acute clinical experience within the last seven, with expertise in Critical Care
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and in collaboration with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certification

Additional Considerations:

  • Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training may be considered if they are willing to complete all requirements within one year of acceptance

Working Conditions:

  • 75 hours per pay period
  • Flexible hours
  • $100,006.99 to $124,117.68 per annum
