The OpportunityWe are seeking a visionary Dean to lead our School of Life Science and Business, driving academic excellence and student success. As a key member of our College Leadership Team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of our strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and management of programs and staff in the School of Life Science and Business.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Olds College Strategic Plan, including budget management and oversight.
- Recruit, manage, and supervise employees, promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
- Develop and implement teaching and learning strategies, identifying opportunities for new and academic programming.
- A Master's degree (or equivalent) is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and progressive work experience will be considered.
- Relevant work experience in a post-secondary or educational environment, with a focus on instruction, program management, curriculum development, and evaluation.
- Proven administrative and leadership experience, with exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to drive strategic growth.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with diplomacy and good judgment.
- Capacity to interpret data and financial information, with a high level of internal controls.
- A strong dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity, actively seeking out and valuing diverse perspectives.
