Job Title: Associate Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology

Zymeworks is a leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative biotherapeutics. We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our In Vivo Pharmacology team, responsible for designing, planning, and executing in vivo immuno-oncology efficacy and PK/PD experiments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of in vivo studies, including designing, planning, coordinating, and analyzing experiments.
  • Manage studies with internal and external partners, including contract research organizations.
  • Support animal research associates with animal handling, dosing, and sample collection.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including regulatory documentation and protocol updates.
  • Organize and perform pharmacodynamic evaluations using flow cytometry, histology, and MSD assays.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop new in vivo models.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and scientific guidance to junior staff.
  • Summarize and present results to supervisors and project teams.
Requirements:
  • PhD in immunology, pharmacology, cancer biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with rodents or a BSc with 5 years of related experience.
  • Expertise in running xenograft, syngeneic, or humanized mouse tumor models.
  • Proficient in animal handling, dosing, and sample collection.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
