Job Title: Associate Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology

Zymeworks is a leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative biotherapeutics. We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our In Vivo Pharmacology team.

Job Summary:

The Associate Scientist will be responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and analyzing in vivo immuno-oncology efficacy and PK/PD experiments. This role will involve managing studies with internal and external partners, supporting animal research associates, and performing administrative tasks. The successful candidate will have a strong background in immunology, pharmacology, or a related field, and experience working with rodents and flow cytometry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute in vivo studies to evaluate the efficacy and PK/PD of biotherapeutics
  • Manage studies with internal and external partners, including contract research organizations
  • Support animal research associates with animal handling, dosing, and sample collection
  • Perform administrative tasks, including regulatory documentation and protocol updates
  • Organize and perform pharmacodynamic evaluations of immune cell function using flow cytometry and histology
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop new in vivo models
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and scientific guidance to junior staff
  • Summarize and present results to supervisors and project teams
Requirements:
  • PhD in immunology, pharmacology, cancer biology, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with rodents and flow cytometry
  • Experience with in vivo cancer models, therapeutic mechanisms of action, and PK/PD relationships
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
