Job Title: Social Worker - Equity and Inclusion Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team as an Equity and Inclusion Specialist. This role will focus on supporting the well-being and success of Black students in our educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with school teams to provide social work support to students through an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework.
  • Partner with community agencies and partners to ensure seamless and integrated service delivery for Black youth and their families.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote mental health awareness and support student well-being.
  • Provide resources and support to classroom teachers and other school staff to enhance student learning and success.
Requirements:
  • Masters Social Work Degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the role of Social Worker or Psychotherapist in a child welfare, educational, medical/psychiatric or other related setting.
  • Experience supporting Black youth in educational or developmental settings.
