About the Role:

This is a regular part-time support staff position within the Centre of Access Programs at Lambton College, working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $26.46. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with faculty to modify course materials, tests, and assignments to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the administration of the work unit
• Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive student success
• Coordinate learning initiatives and respond to the needs of students, faculty, and staff
• Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

• A diploma in Educational Assistant, Developmental Service Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or Social Service Worker, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, learning challenges, and in teaching/tutoring environments
• Mental health training is an asset
• Strong knowledge of educational strategies, Microsoft Teams, and D2L
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and patience
• Computer fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with a high level of initiative
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• An effective team player
