About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Wibble Wobble Childcare Ltd. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the overall development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Collaborate with educators or supervisors to maintain accurate records of children's progress and activities.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in various activities, including storytelling, singing, and craft preparation, to foster their creativity and curiosity.
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare snacks and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the childcare environment.
  • Observations and Progress: Submit written observations on children's progress to educators or supervisors and participate in staff meetings to discuss children's development.
  • Certifications and Training: Possess an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and be committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Support for Diversity: Provide a welcoming environment for newcomers, refugees, and Indigenous people by participating in diversity and cultural competency training.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
