Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Fraser River CEC-Centre of Early Childhood Development & Family Services Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of young children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that foster creativity, imagination, and learning, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions.
  • Child Support: Assist children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress, identifying potential learning or behavioral challenges, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for children and families.
  • Environment and Safety: Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that promotes children's well-being and protects their physical and emotional security.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player.
