Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Autumn Childcare Centre Inc.

Job Summary

The Early Childhood Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in creating a safe and engaging environment for children aged 0-12 years. This role involves assisting with daily routines, planning activities, and maintaining a clean and organized childcare centre.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Engage children in storytelling and other activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Assist educators in planning and implementing programs that meet the needs of children
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations on children
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Work Environment

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a child care centre setting, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment.
